Voices of Costa Rican
Frogs and Toads:
Disc 2:
Species Reference Section
© David L. Ross, Jr. 2009
This page is designed as a means of providing recordings for review and reference. Several of the stereo environmental recordings on "Disc 1" include cuts which have many individuals and several species vocalizing.
This compilation should help in identification the individual species by providing examples of the sounds from each. It may eventually serve in some small way as a guide to some of the most often heard frog and toad vocalizations in Costa Rica. Some of these recordings will be in stereo, others will be in mono.
Each recording will eventually have a track # and a link to a description of the recording. It works well with Internet Explorer, and the Windows Media Player. With this setup, the page should display properly, and while the media player handles the audio, the browser still allows you to link to the information in the description. Recording date, and location information is being added for all recordings. It is "in process" and should be online soon.
These sounds are the copyrigthed property of the author, unless otherwise noted.
Comments are welcomed. Do you have an identification, see an error, or need for correction? If so please contact me at dlrossjr@gmail.com
